The Punjab government has initiated the second phase of the Punjab Dhee Rani Program. This program now welcomes applications for an additional 1,500 weddings, aiming to reduce the financial strain of marriage costs for underprivileged families.
Under this initiative, the government will cover the meals for the bride, groom, and relatives on the wedding day. Each couple will also receive Rs100,000 as a wedding gift through an ATM. Additionally, they will receive essential furniture, clothing, and other household items.
How to Apply for the Punjab Dhee Rani Program
Eligible families can apply online or visit their local Deputy Director of Social Welfare’s office. The Government has established a dedicated helpline at 1312 to offer guidance and information about the program.
