Chief Minister Punjab Pervaiz Elahi signed the summary to dissolve the Punjab Assembly and gave it to former prime minister and Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Chairman Imran Khan.
While speaking to a parliamentarian group via video link from his Lahore Zaman Park residence, PTI Chairman Imran Khan revealed that CM Punjab had given him the signed summary to dissolve the provincial assembly.
Imran Khan also extended a conditional offer of dialogue to the PDM government, stating, “PDM must provide us with an official date for general elections; otherwise, we have the authority to dissolve the assemblies.”
The former prime minister stated that the PML-Q fully supports our efforts to dissolve the assemblies. “Prime Minister Pervaiz Elahi has also assured me that the Assembly will be dissolved when I say so,” he continued.
