PUC Chairman demands TTP Leadership Identify Their Splinter Groups

Addressing a press conference at the National Press Club on Wednesday Hafiz Mohammad Tahir Ashrafi, the chairman of Pakistan Ulema Council has demanded from the Taliban leadership to identify their splinter and/or rebel groups. He said, the suggestion would help the government differentiate between those who want to negotiate and those who do not.

He said that the simple strategy should be to talk with those who want to hold talks and go for operation against those who do not want to talk with the government. The PUC chairman also demanded that the government should go for direct talks with the Taliban..
