Barrister Sultan Mahmood of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) yesterday won the by-election in Azad Kashmir.
According to unofficial results, Barrister Sultan secured 15, 691 votes against PPP candidate Chaudhry Ashraf, who got 12, 811 votes.
PTI Chairman Imran Khan said that he was happy for the first victory in Azad Kashmir. “We got two wickets with one ball,” an enthusiastic Khan claimed.
Khan said that PPP candidate was also backed by the PML-N under the charter of democracy (CoD)
