Pakistan Tehrik-e-Insaf (PTI) filed a petition at the Supreme Court against Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif demanding Sharif and his family’s names be placed on the exit control list (ECL).
In the petition PTI has claimed that Nawaz Sharif and family has had sent billions of rupees abroad, which belonged to the people of Pakistan, through illegal means.
PTI representative Naeem Bokhari spoke on the issue and stated that the petition would be sent to the Registrar of the Supreme Court. Naeem Bukhari questioned that if the steel mill was sold for Rs 9 million dollars, then why wasn’t anyone told about this? He said that the whole case was centered around PM Nawaz’s speech on May 16.
Naeem Bukhari also revealed that PTI chief Imran Khan would lead a rally from Shahdara to Lahore on September 3.
The petition claimed that national wealth had been transferred abroad illegally, through which off-shore companies had been established. The intervention of the Supreme Court of Pakistan in the investigation of the Panama Leaks was important, stated the petition. PTI’s petition also claimed that regarding off-shore companies, there was conflict in the statements of PM Sharif and his children.
