Pakistan Tehrek-e-Insaf (PTI) Tuesday decided to defer its countrywide strike scheduled for December 18 following the attack at army-run school in Peshawar that left over 80 people, mostly students dead.
The PTI Chairman Imran Khan had announced to shut down the entire country on December 18 in a bid to pressurize government for meeting his election audit demand.
The opposition party has already observed strike in Faisalabad, Karachi and Lahore in different days earlier this month.
On Tuesday morning, Gunmen stormed an army-run school in a heavily-guarded area of Peshawar, killing over 80 school children and injuring several.
