Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) has approached the Islamabad High Court to challenge the shutdown of its official website.
According to details, PTI’s General Secretary Umar Ayub and Shibli Faraz have submitted a petition to the Islamabad High Court regarding the closure of the party’s official website.
The petition names the Chairman of the Pakistan Telecommunication Authority (PTA), the Secretary of the Interior, and the Secretary of Information as respondents.

In the petition, PTI asserts that the website “insaf.pk” has been blocked in Pakistan. The website served the purpose of informing the public about PTI’s activities. It provided crucial information about PTI candidates during the general elections and disseminated the party’s manifesto and leadership messages.
The petition contends that the website’s shutdown violates Article 17 of the Constitution, which guarantees freedom of association. PTI has requested that the court issue orders lifting the website’s ban and restrictions and restoring its accessibility.
