Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf’s (PTI) Chairman, Barrister Gohar Ali Khan, has called on party leaders to unite and support their candidates in the forthcoming elections.
PTI Chairman, addressing the media outside Adiala jail after meeting Imran Khan, emphasized the importance of following their leader’s vision for justice and democracy. He urged PTI members to avoid internal strife for the party’s success.
Barrister Gohar strongly supported Sher Afzal Marwat, countering criticism from some senior PTI members. He lauded Sher Afzal as a loyal asset to the party and dismissed corruption allegations against him as unfounded. He stressed that any differences within the party should be settled respectfully, highlighting PTI’s democratic nature and unity under Imran Khan’s leadership.
Clarifying PTI’s Political Stance
Barrister Gohar clarified that PTI has no electoral alliance with Sheikh Rashid’s Awami Muslim League (AML). He confirmed PTI’s intent to field candidates independently in all constituencies, relying solely on internal support.
Sher Afzal Marwat resumed his campaign in Sindh after a brief hiatus. This followed distancing statements from PTI spokespeople Raoof Hassan and Hamid Khan. Marwat, feeling undermined, took to the social network X to voice his grievances and announced his focus on his constituency.
