The telecom sector earned Rs694 billion in 2021-22. $2,073 million was invested. As a result, the sector brought in Rs325.2 billion.

Teledensity in Pakistan is 90%, with 197 million fixed mobile subscribers. Biometrically validated SIMs/subscribers expanded to 194 million, broadband subscriptions grew to 124 million with 56% penetration, and yearly mobile data use reached 8,970 petabytes (6.8 GB per subscriber per month), a 31% rise.
