Princess Kate and Prince William experienced an unexpected moment of tension during a community visit in Scotland on January 20.
As the Prince and Princess of Wales arrived at The Gothenburg, a community-run pub in Fallin, a protester shouted questions referencing Prince Andrew and Jeffrey Epstein. The remarks were repeated as the couple stepped outside to greet residents.
The royal couple did not respond to the interruption. They continued their walkabout calmly and greeted locals gathered outside the venue. Video clips shared online show Princess Kate smiling and politely engaging with well-wishers despite the disruption.
William & Kate get heckled treatment in Scotland today. Questioned about how long they knew about Andrew & if they’d been covering up for him😜, the questions were still being fired before one of their security team interrupted!! 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂

The visit formed part of a packed schedule across Stirling and Falkirk, focused on local heritage and community-led initiatives. The Gothenburg, known locally as The Goth, operates under the rare Gothenburg system, which reinvests profits back into the community.
Inside the pub, Prince William met publican Rob Donaldson, who has managed the venue since 2013. Donaldson highlighted the importance of community ownership and presented the Prince with a branded Guinness glass and symbolic shares in the business. He later described the meeting as a career highlight.

Princess Kate also spoke with local residents indoors, discussing challenges facing families and schools.
Earlier in the day, the royal couple visited the National Curling Academy at The Peak in Stirling. There, they met Team GB and Paralympic athletes preparing for the Milano Cortina Winter Olympic and Paralympic Games.
They also took to the ice to try curling. Bruce Mouat, skip of the men’s team, praised the couple’s visit, calling them welcoming, encouraging, and keen to participate.
