President Joe Biden utilized his COVID-19 diagnosis to make a political statement against former President Donald Trump and Elon Musk by posting “I’m sick” on X (formerly Twitter).
Bidnen’s post also included a link to a donation page for his 2024 campaign, seemingly targeting Musk and other wealthy individuals perceived as trying to influence the election.
The statement came after Biden, aged 81, tested positive for COVID-19 on Wednesday, following his attendance at the NAACP National Convention in Las Vegas, where he criticized Trump’s policies. Subsequently, as confirmed by the White House, he planned to return to Delaware to self-isolate, continuing his presidential duties remotely.
Meanwhile, Elon Musk, known for his support of Republican candidates and dissatisfaction with Biden’s immigration policies, has recently endorsed Trump for re-election and contributed to political efforts supporting Republican candidates. This endorsement followed his criticism of Biden and his administration on various policy fronts.
Despite his diagnosis, Biden, who has been vaccinated and has received booster shots, the most recent in September 2023, remains committed to fulfilling his presidential responsibilities during his isolation period.
