The Muttahida Quami Movement (MQM) once again to re-join the provincial government lead by Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP).
According to sources, the provincial leadership of both parties overnight on Thursday sat together at Governor House and held out assurances to each other for future smooth-sailing.
After the meeting, PPP leader Senator Rehman A. Malik, announced that issues have been settled between the two parties.
Talking to media Malik remarked “In politics, we have reconciliation, not wedlock,”
According to the negotiated formula, seven Senate seats will be bagged by the PPP and the MQM will take the four out of 11 Sindh seats, he remarked adding the power-sharing formula has been worked out for Sindh’s coalition government.
Malik was of the view that it is highly vital for the two parties to work in concert for the betterment of the country and the province.
