The second phase of local elections in AJK has begun in Bagh, Rawlakot, Haveli, Sudhanoti and Poonch.
The AJK LG voting begins at 8 am and ends at 5 pm. Over a million individuals will vote in 487 wards.
1,859 voting stations and 2,697 polling booths have been set up for 875 local council seats, including union councils, district councils, town committees, municipal committees, and municipal corporations.
The first phase of LG elections was on November 27 in three Muzaffarabad districts, while the third phase will be on December 8 in three Mirpur districts.
First phase: PTI leads PML-N and PPP.
PTI won 197 seats, followed by PPP with 194. Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz has 127 seats and independents 121.
