Political parties including Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) appeared before the Judicial Commission and submit their response and proofs of rigging in 2013 general elections.
According to PTI sources, PTI has submitted a document of 125, 000 pages and documents contain proof of rigging in 78 constituencies.
Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) Senator Farogh Nasim representing MQM demanded a probe against Pakistan Muslim League (N) and Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) for spending more money than allowed in the advertisement campaigns during 2013 general elections.
MQM also decided not to answer the allegations of Jamaat-e-Islami (JI) against them. PTI’s Arif Alvi took away the ballot box with him, Farogh Nasim alleged.
A delegation of PML-N also appeared to submit answers against the allegations levelled against their party. PML-N has rejected the allegations of PTI, saying that majority of PTI’s candidates accepted their defeats.
Pakistan People’s Party also submitted exhibits to the judicial commission.
Separately, Pakistan Muslim League-Quaid (PML-Q) has submitted a list of 32 witnesses to testify before the Judicial Commission.
The witnesses also include Pervaiz Elahi, Wajahat Hussain and 23 other candidates.
The Q-League also pleaded that commission summon Registrars of Supreme Court and Lahore High Court and allow it to call Fakhruddin G. Ibrahim and Iftikhar Chaudhry as witnesses.
