Karachi: Custom Intelligence and police conducted a raid in Saddar market of Karachi and took into custody five trucks packed with smuggled goods in Friday’s wee hours.
The raid was conducted overnight on a tip-off regarding the arrival of smuggled goods in Saddar market. The confiscated trucks were taken to Mithadar police station.
Later, the doors of police station were closed for media and police declined to comment on the situation.
The sources said officials of Custom Intelligence and police are busy in striking up an underhand bargain at the police station.
The sources said the smuggled goods worth of millions of rupees include household items including crockery, dinner set and blankets.
