Two Lyari gangsters have been killed in a police ‘encounter’ in Moachko area early morning today.
Police sources said that on a tip-off, police launched an action in the area.
Over a hundred police personnel took part in the operation where they used armoured personnel carriers.
The accused opened fired at the police when they entered the area, police said.
In the shootout, two Lyari gangsters identified as Shahbaz and Shakeel alias Commando were shot dead.
Shahbaz belonged to the Uzair Baloch group while Shakeel belonged to the Baba Ladla group, police said.
