Chief Minister Punjab Mian Muhammad Shahbaz Sharif has said that “people have given their mandate to Pakistan Muslim League Nawaz (PML-N) and a midterm election or Prime Minister’s resignation is out of the question”.

CM Punjab and brother of Prime Minster Nawaz Sharif while commenting on the current political crisis maintained that the government is taking every step keeping in view the provisions of the constitution of Pakistan adding that ;a handful of people cannot take the whole nation hostage’.

Shahbaz Sharif was of the view that country cannot bear the burden of anarchy and chaos while Pakistan’s security forces are busy in a grand operation against terrorists in North Waziristan.

He said that the nation needs unity more than ever.

Shahbaz Sharif denied all prospects of a resignation by PM and a midterm elections, two of the six demands of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI).
