A pivotal shift occurred as eight Punjab Assembly members-elect and one independent National Assembly candidate aligned with the PML-N. The announcement came during a session led by Maryam Nawaz Sharif, PML-N’s Senior Vice President and Punjab CM nominee.
The assembly welcomed six new PML-N members, including Sultan Bajwa, Shazia Tareen, Mahmood Qadir, Hanif Patafi, Taimur Lali, and Ali Afghan from various constituencies. Maryam Nawaz thanked them, highlighting their role in Punjab’s future prosperity. She stressed the province’s advancement under their collective effort.
Furthermore, the members endorsed Maryam Nawaz’s leadership and her CM candidacy, committing to Punjab’s development. Additionally, three Khanewal legislators, Raza Hayat Hiraj, Akbar Hayat Hiraj, and Asghar Hayat Hiraj, joined PML-N, showcasing their trust in Nawaz Sharif’s leadership.
Their meeting with PML-N President Shehbaz Sharif solidified their commitment to the party’s mission. Shehbaz Sharif appreciated their support, underlining the significance of unity for national progress.
