On Monday, members of the Punjab Assembly representing the Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) and the Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) made a motion of no confidence against Chief Minister Parvez Elahi.
Interior Minister Rana Sanaullah stated during an interview with Geo News after opposition legislators, including PPP Parliamentary Leader Hassan Murtaza, PML-Khawaja N’s Imran Nazir, and PML-N Chief Whip Tahir Khalil Sindhu, delivered the no-confidence vote to the Punjab Assembly Secretariat.
It was formally received by Inayat Hussain Lak, secretary of the Punjab Assembly.
The motion of no confidence said that “members of the PPP and PML-N of the provincial parliament have lost trust in the abilities of CM Pervaiz Elahi to govern the house in accordance with the Constitution.
The new event takes place just a few days before the PTI intends to carry out its intention to dissolve the provincial parliament.
This is a developing story … More to come!
