PM wants resolution of political issues in Parliament

Prime Minister Muhammad Nawaz Sharif on Wednesday emphasized that all political issues should be discussed and resolved on the forum of the  Parliament.

He said “All political parties should play their due role in transforming Pakistan into a prosperous and developed country. We are trying to ensure good governance in the country through a consultative process which also includes the opposition parties.”

The Prime Minister expressed his views in a meeting with parliamentary party leaders held here at PM’s Parliament House Chamber to consult with them on the prevailing political situation in the country.

He also expressed his commitment that the government was taking all out measures to streamline the economy and provide better facilities of life to the poor.

The meeting was attended by Leader of the opposition in National Assembly Syed Khurshid Ahmad Shah, Leader of the Opposition in Senate Chaudhry Aitzaz Ahsan, Members NA Dr Muhammad Farooq Sattar, Mehmood Khan Achakzai, Haji Ghulam Ahmed Bilour, Muhammad Ijaz ul Haq, Aftab Ahmed Khan Sherpao, Abdul Rashid Godail, Sahibzada Tariqullah, Dr. Ghazi Gulab Jamal, Abbas Khan Afridi Senator, Minister for Planning Ahsan Iqbal, Minister for Railways Khawaja Saad Rafique, Minister for SAFRON Lt. Gen. (R) Abdul Qadir Baloch, Minister for Science and Technology Zahid Hamid and Political Secretary to the Prime Minister Dr. Asif Kirmani.
