Islamabad: An All Parties Conference on China Pakistan Economic Corridor project is being held in Islamabad today.

Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif will chair the meeting.

The APC has been convened to take the political leadership into confidence over the route of planned Economic Corridor between Pakistan and China.

This mega project is being dubbed as a fate changer not only for Pakistan but for the entire region.

This project envisages construction of three alignments from Gwadar to Kashgar as well as establishment of energy projects and industrial zones all over the country.

This is the second All Parties Conference on China-Pakistan economic corridor. The first meeting was held on the 13th of this month.

Co-Chairman Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) is in Dubai and will skip the conference. A delegation of six members from PPP under leadership of Khursheed Shah including Aitizaz Ahsan, Sherry Rehman, Farhatullah Babar, Murad Ali Shah and Saleem Mandvi will attend the conference.

A 3-member delegation of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) comprising Shah Mehmood Qureshi, Asad Umar, and Shireen Mazari will attend the conference as PTI Chairman Imran Khan will address two political rallies in Skardu.
