Prime Minister (PM) Nawaz Sharif met with the petroleum ministers of Turkmenistan, Afghanistan and India today (Wednesday).
According to sources, views were exchanged on Turkmenistan-Afghanistan-Pakistan-India (TAPI) gas pipeline project during the meeting.
On this occasion, The PM stated that TAPI gas pipeline project is of great importance for all the countries of the region and that the Pakistan will play a positive role in this regard.
Moreover, he said that the project will help Pakistan to overcome gas shortage in the country, therefore, it is necessary to gain benefit from such vital project.
Furthermore, he assured the foreign dignitaries that Pakistan will take all possible steps to initiate the TAPI project as soon as possible.
