Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif will most likely be discharged from the hospital later today, hospital sources in London revealed earlier today.
Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif’s son Hussain Nawaz told media that Irfan Siddiqui and CM Punjab Shahbaz Sharif met the premier today.
“Irfan Siddiqui and Shahbaz Sharif met with Nawaz Sharif to inquire after his health,” said Hussain Nawaz. “Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif has also started eating and drinking,” he added.
Hussain said PM Nawaz was feeling a lot better now and that after every hour, he has to walk on the instructions of his doctors.
“Nawaz Sharif’s blood test results are also coming positive,” he said. “Several medicines that had been provided to him after his operation, have also been stopped.”
Hussain Nawaz further said that doctors had advised PM Nawaz to rest for one-and-a-half week before he travels to Pakistan.
Later on, Prime Minister’s daughter Maryam Nawaz said on Twitter that her father would be discharged from the medical facility today (Monday).
Nawaz Sharif had undergone an open heart surgery last Tuesday. Prayers and wishes for a speedy recovery poured in from all over the world as well as from leaders within Pakistan, including his main rival, PTI chief Imran Khan.
Former Afghanistan President Hamid Karzai, Indian PM Narendra Modi, Russian President Viladmir Putin and other world leaders also prayed for the Pakistani Premier’s speedy recovery.
