Islamabad: Pakistan’s Permanent Representative to the United Nations (UN) Dr Maleeha Lodhi met with Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif, sources said on Thursday.
The two discussed Pakistan’s strategy regarding Indian interference and the decision to take the issue to the UN as well as other international forums.
The PM’s planned visit to the US this year also came under discussion.
The two also discussed PM Nawaz’s planned attendance at the UN General Assembly session as well as Pakistan’s stance to be adopted at the session.
On June 30, Lodhi met with officials from the Foreign Office in Islamabad during which Indian interference, MQM funding and statements of Narendra Modi were discussed during the meeting.
