Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif has taken notice of the murder of 25-year-old pregnant woman Farzana Parveen who was stoned to death near the Lahore High Court on Tuesday morning by members of her family allegedly for marrying a man of her choice,
The premier on Thursday directed Punjab Chief Minister Shahbaz Sharif to submit a report on the incident by the evening.
The prime minister has said that those involved in the murder which took place in broad daylight in Punjab’s provincial capital of Lahore should be brought to book.
Moreover, on Wednesday, police teams raided a number of residences and other places to arrest those suspected of involvement in the brutal killing.
Farzana was attacked with bricks when the attackers intercepted on her way to the LHC. Police booked her father Azeem, brothers Zahid and Ghulam Ali, cousins and some other relatives.
