PM directs Punjab govt to expedite NAP implementation

Prime Minister (PM) Nawaz Sharif Saturday directed the Punjab government to ensure complete implementation of National Action Plan (NAP).

In a high level meeting chaired by the PM at Raiwind to review the implementation of the NAP in the province. The prime minister was briefed about the measures taken for implementation of the NAP in Punjab.

The inquiry report into fatal attack at Punjab Home Minister Shuja Khanzada was also presented to the prime minister.

According to the report, the suicide bomber not only managed to enter the ‘Dera’ of Khanzada but he also spoke to him before the blast.

It also pointed out that the suicide bomber had covered his suicide vest by holding paper files close to his chest.

The bomber shook hands with the Punjab home minister, talked to him in Pashto language and blew himself up, it added.

Chief Minister Punjab Muhammad Shahbaz Sharif, Inspector General Punjab and Chief Secretary Punjab attended the meeting. (PhotoNews/APP)
