Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif has called a cabinet meeting on today (Friday) at Governor House in Lahore to discuss the Kashmir issue and current deteriorating situation in Indian occupied Kashmir.

According to a PM House statement, the oppressive actions of Indian security forces against innocent civilians and the overall situation in Kashmir after brutal assassination of Burhan Wani will be discussed in the meeting.

“Earlier, on the directions of the PM foreign office called Indian high commissioner to the foreign office and conveyed strong concerns of Pakistani government and people on rapidly deteriorating human rights situation in Kashmir and increasing oppression by Indian security forces,” the statement read.

The ambassadors of all permanent members of United Nations Security Council were briefed on the atrocities of Indian security forces in Kashmir.

“The PM will take the cabinet into confidence on these measures and also chalk out future course of action on this issue,” the statement read.
