Gilgit: Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif arrived in Gilgit here Tuesday on a day-long visit.

During the visit, he will chair a meeting of Gilgit Baltistan Council, meet PML-N GB office bearers and address a public gathering.

He will also inaugurate important projects like Jaglot-Skardu road, Cardiac hospital Gilgit, 16 MW Naltar power project and PTV’s rebroadcast stations at Chilas, Gahkuch, Khaplu and Shigar.

Federal Minister for Information Pervaiz Rasheed, PM’s Special Assistant Irfan Siddiqui, Political Secretary Dr. Asif Kirmani, Chairman NHA, Capt. Muhammad Safdar, MNA Tariq Fazal Chaudhry and Marvi Memon accompanied the Prime Minister.

On his arrival at the Gilgit airport, the Prime Minister was received by Governor Gilgit Baltistan Chaudhry Birjees Tahir and senior government officials.

The party leaders including Secretary Kashmir Affairs, Chief Secretary Gilgit Baltistan, Commander FCNA, IG police and Hafiz Hafeez ur Rahman, President PML-N Gilgit Baltistan were present.
