Caretaker Prime Minister Anwaarul Haq Kakar, addressing a recent skirmish with terrorists in South Waziristan’s Asman Manza area, firmly stated that Pakistan would never succumb to terrorist threats or actions. In his public statement in Karachi, he emphasized that surrender was not an option for the nation. Kakar remarked, “We cannot back off… this is home, and we are here to stay.” Reaffirming the country’s dedication to eradicating extremism, he clarified that Pakistan’s fight against terrorism is self-funded and not reliant on foreign donations.

Support for Business Community

PM Kakar also engaged with prominent entrepreneurs in Karachi, acknowledging their critical role in driving the economy. He promised the caretaker government’s support in addressing prevalent issues, especially those related to energy. Urging the business leaders to provide actionable suggestions for economic revival, he expressed the interim government’s willingness to draft a framework for the succeeding administration.

Kakar emphasized the government’s role in fostering a conducive business environment and collecting taxes for societal upliftment. He also stressed the significance of consistent energy supply for industrialization and encouraged the business sector to adopt best practices, projecting a positive image of Pakistan internationally.

Outlook for the Future

The caretaker prime minister expressed optimism about the nation’s economic trajectory, noting Pakistan’s abundance of natural resources. He emphasized that with collaborative efforts, the country could usher in meaningful transformations, benefiting all its inhabitants.
