Earlier today, a petition has been filed at a court in Lahore for placing the names of important government dignitaries including Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif on the Exit Control List (ECL), on Monday.

A petitioner contended in his plea that names of key government leaders including PM Nawaz Sharif, Chief Minister Punjab Shahbaz Sharif,  former minister Rana Sananullah, Law Minister Punjab Rana Mashood, Interior Minister Chaudhary Nisar Ali Khan and prime minister’s daughter Maryam Nawaz be placed in the ECL

It was argued in the petition that the key government personalities and leaders had important documents of the state and they might flee with the same.
