PIA’s first flight to Paris, PK 749, safely landed at CDG Airport after over four years. At the airport, Charge d’Affaires Huzefa Khanum, along with members of the Pakistani diaspora, warmly welcomed the passengers, PIA officials, and the crew.
During the reception, Ms. Khanum expressed that the government’s resumption of the flight was the best gift for overseas Pakistanis. She emphasized that restoring these flights would enhance relations between Pakistan, France, and the European Union by promoting trade, tourism, business, and people-to-people exchanges.

AVM Amir Hayat, CEO of PIA, spoke at the event and announced that PIA would operate bi-weekly flights to Paris from Islamabad every Friday and Sunday. This service aims to provide direct air connectivity between Pakistan and France. He recalled the commencement of the first direct flight between the two countries in 1966.
A representative from Air France celebrated the occasion, noting it as a joyful day that would boost bilateral relations further.

Passengers arriving in Paris via the direct flight from Islamabad expressed their joy over the reduced travel time and the quality of service. The event at CDG also featured a cake-cutting ceremony to commemorate this special occasion, attended by embassy officers and staff.
