On May 22, 2025, Pakistan International Airlines (PIA) announced the launch of direct flights from Lahore to Paris, with the inaugural flight set for June 18, 2025.
The new weekly Wednesday service expands PIA’s European network, increasing its Paris operations to three direct weekly flights, alongside existing Islamabad-Paris routes.
A PIA spokesperson confirmed the airline will operate one weekly flight from Lahore’s Allama Iqbal International Airport to Paris Charles de Gaulle Airport. “This direct route fulfils a long-standing demand from the Pakistani community in France and Pakistan, offering affordable fares and significant time savings,” the spokesperson stated. The service aims to cater to the growing Pakistani diaspora in France, providing convenient travel options for business, leisure, and family visits.

PIA’s European Expansion Strategy
The Lahore-Paris route aligns with PIA’s broader strategy to strengthen its European presence, following the successful relaunch of Islamabad-Paris flights earlier in 2025. To mark that milestone, PIA unveiled a Boeing 777 adorned with an Eiffel Tower design on its tail and the slogan “I Love Paris” on the nose, modified to comply with European Union aviation standards. The airline also introduced a wireless in-flight entertainment system on the Islamabad-Paris route, allowing passengers to stream content on personal devices, enhancing the travel experience.
The new route offers Pakistani travellers direct access to one of Europe’s cultural and economic hubs, eliminating the need for connecting flights through Middle Eastern hubs. Competitive pricing and PIA’s commitment to service quality position the airline as a preferred choice for the diaspora and international tourists. The flights also support Pakistan’s tourism and trade goals, fostering stronger ties with France.
PIA’s European expansion reflects its recovery from past financial and operational challenges, bolstered by compliance with EU safety standards. Travellers can book flights through PIA’s official website or authorised agents, with promotions expected to mark the route’s launch.
