Another flight attendant from Pakistan International Airlines (PIA) has reportedly vanished in Canada, increasing the number of the airline’s staff missing to 14.
Sources reveal a continuing pattern of disappearances among flight attendants on PIA’s Toronto route.
The latest incident involves Noor Sher, who was part of a 16-member team on flight PK 781 from Pakistan to Toronto. His absence was noted when he did not show up for his return flight, bringing the total of missing PIA staff in Toronto to 14.
Reports suggest that the missing attendants have sought asylum in Canada.
In a notable case, a female flight attendant, now detained in Toronto, had flown the Toronto route over ten times despite directives to the contrary.
No substantial developments have emerged from the investigation into the appointments, specifically regarding Hina Sani, who is still in Toronto.
The aviation ministry and the national airline have formed committees to investigate these cases.
A PIA spokesperson stated that all previously missing attendants have been dismissed from their jobs.
Departmental proceedings are underway regarding Noor Sher’s disappearance.
The findings from the inquiry committees on the appointment of air hostess Hina Sani are still pending.
