Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has decided to offer additional financial reward to foreign players to play in the upcoming Pakistan Super League’s (PSL) final in Lahore.
According to Press Trust of India , In a PCB recent high-level meeting decided to pay additional rewards of USD 20,000 in order to convince foreign players to play in the upcoming Pakistan Super League’s (PSL) final in Lahore.
PSL chairman Najam Sethi , while talking to media in Lahore said that overseas players were being offered extra money to play the final in the city. “We are offering them at least $20000 each if they play the final in Lahore,”
Sethi also said that some foreign players have already agreed to play the PSL final in the city. “I can assure you that the PSL final in Lahore will be bigger than the one held in UAE last February,” he said.
The chairman added that 14 new rooms with top-class facilities were being constructed at the NCA adjacent to the Gaddafi stadium as accommodation for these players. He said the plan was to have accommodation for the teams at the NCA as part of the security plan for the PSL final.
PCB has already begun the process of signing new overseas players for PSL’s upcoming edition, with New Zealand’s Brendon McCullum, England’s Eoin Morgan, Sri Lanka’s Lasith Malinga and South Africa’s Albie Morkel already on board.
