At the 2024 Tax Excellence Awards in Islamabad, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif extolled the virtues of the nation’s leading tax contributors, including traders, business magnates, and prominent exporters, acknowledging their indispensable role in driving Pakistan’s economic advancement.

Sharif addressed the event and announced the issuance of blue passports to top taxpayers as a symbol of honorary ambassadorship, emphasizing their significance in driving national economic growth. Among the honoured was Mian Muhammad Mansha, MCB Chairman, who was celebrated as the highest-income taxpayer in the country. Mansha, a prominent industrialist with ventures across banking, textiles, and hospitality, was previously awarded the Sitara-e-Imtiaz for his industrial contributions.
