Thousands of protesters took to the streets against house arrest of Hurriyat Conference leader Syed Ali Gilani in Indian occupied Kashmir following Eidul Fitr prayers.
The protesters chanted anti-Indian slogans and raised Pakistani flags during their protest demonstration outside Eidgah.
The protest turned violent after Indian forces resorted to heavy tear gas shelling at protesters after which the demonstrators hurled stones at the occupied forces.
