MedAngle, a Pakistani ed-tech firm that provides an innovative platform for future medical professionals, has gained international recognition by making its mark on the 2023 Global Silicon Valley (GSV) Elite 200 EdTech Company list. The platform is the only entity from Pakistan to be honored with this distinction.
The mastermind behind MedAngle is Dr. Mohammad Azib, an alumnus of the Dow University of Health Sciences from the class of 2020. Dr. Azib holds the unique distinction of being Pakistan’s first full-stack technologist and medical doctor. His groundbreaking work in merging technology and medical education didn’t go unnoticed. He was the first Pakistani accepted into the Transcend Fellowship in Silicon Valley. He also gained acceptance into the MIT-Harvard Medical School Global Healthcare innovation program and was inducted into the Stanford Graduate School of Business Seed Spark Program.
MedAngle has seen astounding growth and popularity among medical students. The platform boasts more than 61,000 users who have answered a staggering 45 million questions. This massive user engagement has positioned MedAngle as a leader in transforming digital medical education in Pakistan and beyond.
One of the key features of MedAngle is its extensive collection of educational content. With over 40,000 multiple-choice questions, clinical cases, and other educational materials, it has emerged as the largest platform in Pakistan and the Middle East.
The strength of MedAngle lies in its dedicated team. Over 150 doctors, healthcare professionals, and distinguished medical students from Pakistan and the Middle East are part of the MedAngle team. Thanks to their efforts, the platform has expanded its technology from a single school to more than 140 educational institutions across two countries, marking its recent entry into the UAE.
MedAngle’s inclusion in the 2023 Global Silicon Valley Elite 200 EdTech list was part of the ASU+GSV Summit, an annual event that brings together the world’s leading minds focused on transforming society and business in the fields of learning and work. This event was the result of a collaboration in 2010 between Arizona State University (ASU) and Global Silicon Valley (GSV).
