Pakistani bodybuilder Rameez Ibrahim won gold in the men’s physique category of the Mr Universe 2024 competition, hosted by the World Fitness Federation in Las Vegas, USA.
Forty-four nations, Australia, South Africa, and the USA, were represented at this international event, showcasing a wide array of talent spanning continents from Asia to Europe and the Americas.
Following his victory, Ibrahim took to Instagram to address sceptics of his abilities and share his triumph. His journey to this point was marked by significant effort and a lack of support, as he had earlier expressed disappointment over the difficulty of registering for the competition without endorsements.
Speaking to GeoSuper TV, Rameez shared his determination to win further accolades for Pakistan, saying, “Alhamdulillah, I finally made it, and now I am preparing myself to win another title for my country.”
In 2022, Rameez won three world titles in Thailand, becoming the first Pakistani bodybuilder to achieve such a feat. He noted a lack of recognition at home despite his international success, stating, “In 2022, I won three back-to-back world titles for Pakistan. Despite being a world champion, I got no recognition in my own country, which is too disappointing.”
Undeterred by these challenges, Rameez remains committed to representing Pakistan with pride. “No worries. I will continue representing my country with pride. The upcoming competition is very important for me, and I am working hard for it,” he concluded.
