Pakistan will take every step to protect national interest: FO

Islamabad: Pakistan will take every step to ensure national interests are protected, Foreign Office spokesperson Qazi Khalilullah said on Friday.

Briefing the media the spokesperson said the issue of recent statements made by the Indian leadership would be taken up at the diplomatic level. He emphasised that replies to these statements had been given.

The FO spokesperson said Pakistan knew how to respond to any threat in a befitting manner.

In response to a question, Qazi Khalilullah said Pakistan and Afghanistan had agreed that their soils would not be allowed to be used against each other.
