Pakistan Cricket Squad Unveiled for 2025 West Indies T20I and ODI Series

The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has announced the national squad for a limited-overs tour against the West Indies, set to take place from July 25, 2025.

The tour will feature three T20 International matches in Lauderhill, USA, from July 31 to August 3, followed by three One Day Internationals in Trinidad and Tobago from August 8 to August 12. Mohammad Rizwan will lead the ODI team, while Salman Ali Agha will captain the T20I side.

The 16-member ODI squad is led by Rizwan, with Salman Ali Agha serving as vice-captain. It includes the uncapped batter Hasan Nawaz, alongside stars Babar Azam and Shaheen Shah Afridi. The T20I squad, captained by Agha, features returning fast bowlers Haris Rauf, Hasan Ali, and Afridi. Key players such as Fakhar Zaman and Mohammad Haris strengthen both formats.

T20I Squad: Salman Ali Agha (c), Abrar Ahmed, Faheem Ashraf, Fakhar Zaman, Haris Rauf, Hasan Ali, Hasan Nawaz, Hussain Talat, Khushdil Shah, Mohammad Haris (wk), Mohammad Nawaz, Sahibzada Farhan (wk), Saim Ayub, Shaheen Shah Afridi, Sufyan Moqim.

ODI Squad: Mohammad Rizwan (c), Salman Ali Agha (vc), Abdullah Shafique, Abrar Ahmed, Babar Azam, Faheem Ashraf, Fakhar Zaman, Hasan Ali, Hasan Nawaz, Hussain Talat, Mohammad Haris (wk), Mohammad Nawaz, Naseem Shah, Saim Ayub, Shaheen Shah Afridi, Sufyan Moqim.

Series Schedule

The tour follows Pakistan’s T20I series in Bangladesh, with the team arriving in the USA on July 27:

  • July 31: 1st T20I, Central Broward Park, Lauderhill, USA
  • August 2: 2nd T20I, Central Broward Park, Lauderhill, USA
  • August 3: 3rd T20I, Central Broward Park, Lauderhill, USA
  • August 8: 1st ODI, Brian Lara Cricket Academy, Trinidad & Tobago
  • August 10: 2nd ODI, Brian Lara Cricket Academy, Trinidad & Tobago
  • August 12: 3rd ODI, Brian Lara Cricket Academy, Trinidad & Tobago

The series is vital for Pakistan’s preparations for the upcoming global events, including the 2026 T20 World Cup. Hasan Nawaz’s inclusion signals PCB’s focus on nurturing young talent, while Afridi’s return strengthens the bowling attack.
