The Pakistan travel advisory for Iran was issued after recent Israeli missile attacks heightened regional tensions. Islamabad has urged its citizens to avoid unnecessary travel to neighbouring Iran in the interest of safety and protection.
According to the Foreign Office, Pakistani nationals currently present in Iran should limit their movement and remain in close contact with Pakistani diplomatic missions.
The advisory follows Israel’s announcement of a missile strike against Iran. Israeli Defence Minister Israel Katz described the operation as a “preemptive strike.”
In an official statement, the Foreign Office spokesperson advised citizens to exercise caution. Authorities emphasised the importance of avoiding unnecessary travel until the security situation stabilises.
Israel’s defence ministry confirmed the launch of what it called a preemptive strike. The statement added that a special and immediate state of emergency had been declared throughout Israel.
