Green Line Train fares have increased by 25% thanks to Pakistan Railways.
With newly imported Chinese coaches beginning on December 27, Pakistan Railways will resume running the Greenline Express between Islamabad and Karachi.
There will be two AC parlors, five AC Business, six AC Standards, and four to five economy class coaches on the train.
While the standard AC ticker from Karachi to Rawalpindi has been set at Rs8000, the economy class ticker on the Green Line Train from Rawalpindi to Karachi has increased to Rs4000.
Similarly, the cost of traveling in business class from Karachi to Rawalpindi has gone up to 10,000 and from Lahore to Karachi to 9,500.
Khawaja Saad Rafique had instructed the official in question to shorten the Green Line’s Lahore to Karachi travel time to under 20 hours to regain the trust of the traveling public in the national railway system.
It is important to note that the Green Line Train will begin operations on January 27 instead of December 20, as originally planned, due to various financial and other issues.
