The federal government has officially announced public holidays for 2026, outlining national, religious, and cultural observances across the year.
According to a notification issued by the Cabinet Division, Kashmir Day on February 5 and Pakistan Day on March 23 will be observed as public holidays.
The government has declared a three-day general holiday for Eid-ul-Fitr, which will fall on March 21, 22, and 23, 2026.
Labour Day will be observed on May 1, followed by Youm-e-Takbeer on May 28. For Eid al-Adha, the Cabinet Division has announced three public holidays on May 27, 28, and 29, 2026.

Independence Day of Pakistan will be marked on August 14, while Eid Milad-un-Nabi will be observed on August 25.
Later in the year, Allama Iqbal Day will fall on November 9. The year will conclude with public holidays on December 25, marking Quaid-e-Azam Day and Christmas.
Officials said the notification aims to help public and private institutions plan schedules in advance and ensure smooth observance of national and religious events.
