Lahore: Pakistan captain Azhar Ali won the toss and sent Zimbabwe into bat in the second day-night international in Lahore’s Gaddafi Stadium on Friday
Pakistan had defeated the touring team in the first ODI and lead the series 1-0.
Pakistan made no change from the side which won the first match by 41 runs on Tuesday, also in Lahore.
However, Zimbabwe were forced to make four changes with their regular captain Elton Chigumbura, batsman Craig Ervine (hamstring injury), spinner Prosper Utsey (unwell) and paceman Chris Mpofu (dropped) were out.
They were replaced by Chamu Chibhabha, Charles Coventry, Graeme Cremer and Tawanda Mupariwa.
Captain Chigumbura, who hit a rapid 95-ball 117 in the first ODI on Tuesday, will miss the last two matches of the three-match series after being banned for slow over-rate.
The two-match ban was imposed Wednesday by the International Cricket Council (ICC) for the visiting team’s slow over-rate in the first Lahore ODI.
The third and final match will also be played in Lahore on Sunday.
Zimbabwe´s tour has revived international cricket in Pakistan after a six-year gap. International cricket was suspended in Pakistan since terrorists attacks on the Sri Lankan team bus in Lahore in March 2009.
