Pakistan’s Air Force (PAF) successfully neutralised Indian drones targeting civilian areas using advanced GPS jamming technology, Air Vice Marshal Aurangzeb Ahmed announced during a joint press conference on May 11, 2025, alongside DG ISPR Lieutenant General Ahmed Sharif Chaudhry and Vice Admiral Raja Rab Nawaz.
The PAF’s 6-0 air battle victory, part of Operation Bunyaan al Marsoos, showcased Pakistan’s robust defence systems and strategic planning, ensuring no civilian harm amid escalating India-Pakistan tensions.

Aurangzeb revealed that Pakistan’s radar surveillance and rapid response systems intercepted Indian drones before they could inflict damage. “Our advanced jamming technology was key in stopping these threats,” he stated, emphasising the PAF’s close monitoring of Indian aircraft and drones. The technology disrupted drone navigation, rendering them ineffective and protecting civilian areas during the conflict sparked by India’s May 9 airstrikes on three PAF bases.

PAF’s Air Battle Dominance
The PAF downed several Indian aircraft, including drones and jets, with Aurangzeb crediting Air Chief Marshal Zaheer Ahmad Babar’s leadership for the operation’s success. “Pakistan dominated the air battle, with a final score of 6-0,” he said, noting no major damage to Pakistani assets. The PAF’s modern air defence systems, backed by precise radar and jamming capabilities, thwarted India’s attempts to establish aerial superiority, reinforcing Pakistan’s readiness.
