The team, maintaining an undefeated streak, now holds second place in the points table, just behind India. Rehman initiated the scoring in the 23rd minute, followed by Ahmed’s goal in the 36th minute. Shahid’s exceptional play brought the third goal in the 46th minute. Although Gao Jiesheng of China narrowed the gap to 3-1, Pakistan responded robustly. Ahmed and Shahid each added another goal, sealing the 5-1 victory.

Earlier in the tournament, Pakistan edged out Japan 2-1. Ahmed scored early, but Japan equalized in the second quarter. Sufyan Khan’s goal in the 26th minute regained Pakistan’s lead, clinching the victory. Pakistan had previously drawn against Malaysia and South Korea.
Meanwhile, Team India, led by Harmanpreet Singh, defeated Korea 3-1, marking their fourth consecutive win. Having secured a top position in the points table, India entered the playoffs with 12 points from four games. Singh scored twice, and Araijeet Singh added another, consolidating India’s lead despite Korea’s late effort to close the gap.
