Pakistan beat West Indies to win T20I series

Pakistan beat West Indies in the fourth and final Twenty20 International here at the Queen’s Park Oval on Sunday.

Pakistan team clinched the fourth T20 and win the series 3-1 in the Caribbean. This is Sarfraz Ahmed’s seventh win in his eight T20 as captain.

Chasing an easy target of 125, Pakistan completed the imposing victory in 19 overs with a brilliant half-century by opener Ahmed Shehzad.

He made 53 off 45 balls with six fours and a six while Babar Azam scored 38 with one six and one four. Kamran Akmal contributed 20.

Earlier, Pakistani bowlers restricted West Indies batsmen to 124 -8 in the 20 overs.

Sent into bat by Pakistan captain Sarfraz Ahmed, West Indies batsmen could not resist against accurate bowling by young Pakistani bowlers, especially against right-arm pacer Hasan Ali and leg-spinner Shadab Khan, who claimed two wickets each for 12 and 16 runs, respectively.

Among other bowlers, Rumman Raees, Imad Wasim and Wahab Riaz took one wicket each.

Opener Chadwick Walton top scored with 40 with four sixes and two fours while  captain Carlos Brathwaite scored an unbeaten 37 with two sixes and as many fours.
