The Pakistan Army secured a decisive victory at the 3rd Inter-Services Combat Shooting Championship 2025. According to the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), the army won all four Inter-Services Matches during the competition.
Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir, Chief of Army Staff (COAS), attended the closing ceremony as the chief guest. The event marked the conclusion of the 45th Pakistan Army Rifle Association (PARA) Central Meet at the Army Marksmanship Unit in Jhelum.
The 45th PARA Central Meet took place from October 1 to November 10, 2025. More than 2,000 participants joined the event from various military and civilian organisations.
Competitors represented the Pakistan Army, Air Force, Navy, Civil Armed Forces, and provincial rifle associations from Punjab, Sindh, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, and Balochistan. All participants demonstrated exceptional shooting skills and competitive enthusiasm throughout the event.

The Pakistan Army’s overall victory included several individual and unit achievements. The Punjab Regiment earned the Unit Firing Proficiency Match Group-I title.
Sepoy Muhammad Irfan of the Punjab Regiment received the prestigious Master at Arms designation. Naib Subedar Umar Farooq from the Army Marksmanship Unit secured the Army Hundred Rifle Match Trophy.
The COAS interacted with participants following the competition. He praised their exceptional marksmanship and reaffirmed the importance of shooting skills in military training.
Field Marshal Munir stated that mastery in shooting must remain a fundamental objective of military preparation. His comments highlighted the strategic significance of combat readiness and individual skill development.
The Army Chief also participated in the centenary celebrations at the Military College Jhelum as the chief guest. He inaugurated the Centenary Monument and College Museum, recognising the institution’s hundred-year legacy.
