The Pakistan Army successfully concluded the 50th Chief of Army Staff Polo and Tent Pegging Championship 2025 at Jinnah Polo Fields.
Syed Asim Munir, Pakistan’s Chief of Army Staff, attended the closing ceremony as the chief guest. The event was also attended by the federal interior minister and the Punjab chief secretary, highlighting the championship’s national significance.
According to Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), the Corps Commander Lahore and the Chairman of the Pakistan Polo Federation welcomed the army chief and senior guests. Officials described the championship as a strong reflection of the Pakistan Army’s commitment to discipline, teamwork, and professional excellence through sport.

Eight teams from different corps competed in the championship. Peshawar Corps claimed first position with consistent performances, while Gujranwala Corps finished as runners-up after a competitive final phase.
During the closing ceremony, Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir presented awards and trophies to outstanding players and teams. He praised the participants for their sportsmanship and dedication, noting that polo and tent pegging remain integral to the army’s heritage and training culture.
The successful conclusion of the championship reinforced the Pakistan Army’s role in promoting traditional equestrian sports and fostering unity, fitness, and competitive spirit among its formations.
