Federal Defence Minister Khawaja Muhammad Asif said Pakistan is receiving defence equipment orders from multiple countries following the Pakistan Air Force’s strong performance during the May 2025 Pakistan-India conflict.
In a television interview, the minister said Pakistani aircraft demonstrated their advanced technology and operational strength during the conflict. He noted that the air force’s performance earned global recognition.
Khawaja Asif said PAF fighter jets are now combat-tested. As a result, international demand has increased sharply. He added that if these defence agreements are finalised, Pakistan may not require IMF financial assistance over the next six months.
